Our Agenda is still being constructed - these sessions and speakers still may change. About 10 days before the conference, we shall post the complete, final agenda.

| Admins - Sit Back, Relax and Let Your Servers Take The Load
|
| How Domino logging, fault recovery and DDM do the hard work for you. Use your servers to spot problems early, filter the serious from the trivial, fix things without bothering you and generally make life easier. In this session we'll look at configuring and analysing server and client faults, reviewing logs without ever opening a log view, and using DDM to spot, and automatically fix, re-occurring problems. We'll also look at which key events and DDM probes you absolutely, positively, must have in place as a minimum on your servers. |

| Cardiff University Case Study
|
| Lyn joined Cardiff University's Mail Team three years ago having previously worked for the Security Team. It didn't take long before he found himself looking down the barrel of a rip-and-replace for both the Staff and Student email systems - around 8 thousand staff accounts to migrate from Groupwise, and 25 thousand students to migrate from Mercury/Pegasus. The new system of choice is, of course, Lotus Domino/Notes. Matt agreed to help! (Well, his computer was moved into the Mail Team office, and he was told he had to do it.) Matt had previously worked in application support and deployment, specialising in Assistive software. He's now fully converted to Server Monkey! From knowing virtually nothing about any Lotus software they had to design and implement Lotus Domino, Quickplace and Sametime services, whilst integrating all of the above with the existing LDAP and ID Management systems... And it had to work with Webshere portal as well! Cardiff University are now running Notes/Domino and Sametime 8.0.1 in production (upgrades from v7.x), pre-production and development, and as design partners, an 8.5 pre-Beta system! Matt and Lyn now both look much older than they should. |

| Lotus Connections 2.0 and Beyond - Connectr #6
|
| Following on from another successful event at IBM Dublin just ahead of the Irish Lotus User Group, the Connectr team (a.k.a. IBM Lotus Connections Special Interest Group) are back in action. Hear about the impressive new features in Lotus Connections 2.0, share early implementation experiences gathered from around the globe and learn more about what helped the product to perform so well in the recent head to head at the Enterprise 2.0 Conference. Hear how to you can use Lotus Connections from within any number of everyday productivity tools, how you can integrate with WebSphere Portal and how to you can even Dogear Microsoft Sharepoint. This session would be ideal for people wishing to gain a better understanding of the range of new capabilities in Lotus Connections 2.0 and how to go about gaining value from using them within their own organization. The session will assume familiarity with websites, Portals and Web 2.0 but will be "tech lite", although we will cover aspects of integrating the product within existing and future infrastructures. We will aim to cover an introduction to this product and discuss some of the issues around adoption of this ground-breaking social computing platform. Expect this to be a very interactive session involving audience participation and maybe one or more special guests, the return of the much loved Buzzword Bingo and the ultimate test to see if you can work out the "Connection Conundrum" (ie who is the missing link) and prizes as a reward. Come along and make the most of your connections! |

| Lazy Development: One Line Wonders for Domino Applications
|
| Let's face it, Rob Novak is lazy. Not only does he have Viktor do most of the heavy lifting, he also wants things so simple he can explain it on stage with one line. Some of the examples here, as seen in The Great Code Giveaway each year at Lotusphere, are just that - one line of code added to a Domino application to add serious functionality to forms, views, and multi-database applications. This session is a rapid-fire tour through Dojo toolkit integration into Domino, starting with easy concepts and working up to a complex modification of Domino views. You'll come away with an appreciation for laziness, all of the code seen on stage, and quite possibly some killer ideas for your own applications. |

| Requirements Management - do you already pay for what you need or still for what you get?
|
| Are you still wondering why so many software projects are failing or why customers are unhappy with the solution provided? It is just at the beginning of a project when the most expensive mistakes are made. There are many reasons for project failure, but a major one is incorrect requirements analysis and inadequat requirements management, and both suppliers and customers add their share to this. Requirements analysis and requirements management are fundamental basics for any successful software project - without creating a monstrous overhead to the project. Stephan Holowaty is going to discuss the most important issues with you, and will help you to learn from them - so that customers ends up knowing what he will get for their money, and suppliers will end up knowing what they have to deliver. This session does not talk on any product you "need". This session will focus on down-to-earth ideas, recommendations and strategies which you can start using in your projects right away when walking out of this session - to help both customers and suppliers spending their project money on creating more value and on creating more successful projects. There will be something for everyone - whether it's a small internal project, a typical SMB situation, or a large-scale, international setting. |

| Many enterprises with IBM Lotus Notes use Microsoft SharePoint for document management and team collaboration. Unfortunately, accessing SharePoint document libraries from Notes is not an easy process, making day-to-day tasks difficult for Notes users. Join this session and find out your options for delivering an integrated collaboration and messaging environment. Yaacov Cohen, CEO of Mainsoft, will compare a migration strategy with a strategic coexistence strategy that allows IT users to continue using both Lotus Notes and SharePoint, with seamless integration between the two platforms. A demo of Mainsoft SharePoint Integrator for Lotus and custom SharePoint-Notes integrations will be presented. |
